X-Men III: The Last Stand

So I went to see X-Men III: The Last Stand whilst I was down south visiting my brother, and I have to say it is a great film. Although I must admit that the story doesn't follow the comics - or at least not to my recollection.
The main plot this time round for Wolverine and his chums is that they must once again stop Magneto from destroying the world as we know it. See the boffins who work for the US have gone and found a child with the ability to remove a mutants powers when they get near him. The boffins have used him as a lab rat in order to create what they called a "cure". Well you know that went down well...
So naturally the mutant population are divided from those who want to be relieved of their powers and those who don't see being a mutant as having a disease and therefore don't require a cure. At the X-Men ranch, Rouge likes the idea so she and bobby could, well you know... no, not that! I mean hold hands! It's a family-fun film!! However storm and the others are not as happy, but Prof X points out that they won't stop anyone from wanting to go through with the procedure. Fair enough prof...
But naturally, leading the "heck no, we won't go" brigade of mutants is... some thin bloke who looks like those people who have written a self help book and do seminars and say "you can be all you can be" and people applaude. But Magneto thinks he's all talk and points out that they need action! So he leads them to the forest.
All this leads to another showdown between the X-Men and Magneto, but with powerful mutants siding with Magneto, and one of them being the most powerful ever - it's not all fun and games for Wolverine and co.
It's certainly worth watching and I would recomend it to all but you have to like Sci-Fi, you will have to know what happened at the end of X-Men II (which is where Jean Grey bites the big one when many, many tons of water fall on top of her), and that you don't get upset when they deviate from the comics.
If you go to ZeroreZ: The Site and look in the film section, I have created a page that covers the X-Men films, although only X-Men III has been completed for the time being, as that is the flavour of the month, and well... I'm a busy boy!
